This Privacy Policy explains how FONTGRID handles information when you use the FONTGRID website, web app, browser extension, licensing, support and paid subscription features.
1. Local font access
FONTGRID can request access to the fonts installed on your device so you can preview, search, compare, bookmark, pair, inspect and match them. On the web app, this uses the browser's Local Font Access permission when supported. Normal local-font browsing does not upload your installed font files to FONTGRID servers.
2. Local workspace data
Preview text, bookmarks, folders, selected fonts, display preferences, language, plan state, device identifier and license information may be stored locally in your browser. This keeps the core workspace local to your device.
3. Files you choose
If you choose an image for Match Font or a font file for temporary preview, the file is processed in the browser for that feature. FONTGRID does not intentionally upload those selected files to its own servers unless a future feature clearly tells you otherwise before upload.
4. Online font sources
When you explicitly use online matching or external font resources, FONTGRID may request public font metadata or font files from providers such as Google Fonts or Fontsource. Those providers may receive standard network information associated with the request and operate under their own privacy terms.
5. Payments and licensing
Paid checkout is processed by Creem or PayPal. Creem acts as Merchant of Record for Creem transactions. FONTGRID receives subscription status and basic purchase information needed to issue and validate a license. FONTGRID does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank details.
6. Support messages
When you contact support, FONTGRID processes the name, reply email, subject and message you choose to send. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
7. Sharing and advertising
FONTGRID does not sell personal data and does not use your local font library for personalized or interest-based advertising. Information is shared only when necessary to provide a user-requested feature, process a payment, deliver support, protect the service or comply with law.
8. Browser permissions
FONTGRID requests permissions only when needed for user-facing font functionality. You control local-font access through your browser and may revoke it through browser site settings.
9. Data control
You can remove locally stored FONTGRID workspace data by clearing site data or browser extension storage. Subscription and transaction records may be retained by the relevant payment provider as required for billing, tax, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
